Roberta J. Newhouse, CPA
Roberta J. Newhouse brings a 30-year career in public accounting and over 12 years in wealth management to Newhouse & Neistadt. Roberta joined Newhouse & Neistadt as a partner in 1997 and is the current managing partner of the firm. She has the ability to provide tax-centric solutions for clients that demand excellence, innovation, and professionalism. She strives to create trusted relationships with clients so she is better able to identify their goals and help create holistic solutions to reaching them. Along with her tax planning expertise, Roberta provides a wealth of knowledge on retirement and estate issues, as well as complex succession issues.
Roberta is a graduate of the University of Idaho and is a Certified Public Accountant. She most recently served as a member of the Board of Examiners with the AICPA, has served on the Oregon Board of Accountancy, is a member of both the Oregon & Idaho Society of CPAs, and has passed the FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licensing exams.
Outside of work Roberta is married to her husband, Charles, and they have two daughters. She enjoys spending her free time riding her road bike throughout the Pacific Northwest, spoiling her two grandsons, working on home/remodel projects, and volunteering for various organizations.

Corey M. Neistadt, CPA
Corey M. Neistadt joined Newhouse & Neistadt in 2003 and was promoted to partner in 2005. He also brings over 12 years’ experience in wealth management services. Corey enjoys assisting his clients in the development of specific strategies to help achieve their financial goals and has a passion for working with complex financial situations. Along with his tax planning expertise, Corey has a wealth of knowledge in helping small-business owners find custom solutions to their needs, as well as assisting clients in creating customized and tax-efficient investment plans.
Corey is a graduate of Oregon State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the Oregon Society of CPAs and has passed the FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licensing exams.
Outside of work Corey is married to his wife, Andrea, and they have two children, Lainey and Jacob. He enjoys spending his free time involved in his children’s activities, being in the outdoors, perfecting his BBQ, and cheering on the Oregon State Beavers. In addition to work and family Corey is also an avid volunteer in the Pendleton community, serving on the Pendleton Happy Canyon Board of Directors and is active various other non-profit organizations.
Corey is based out of the Pendleton, Oregon office.
Melissa S. Lowther, CPA, MBA
Melissa joined Newhouse & Neistadt in 2010 and brings experience in both the public accounting and private accounting realms. Melissa originally became part of the financial services industry in order to help others work toward and achieve their goals. She has a passion for assisting clients in life planning and finding tax-optimized investment solutions. Along with her tax planning expertise, Melissa has a wealth of knowledge in education planning and complex financial analysis, as well as, helping establish budgets and assisting clients in creating customized and tax-efficient investment plans.
Melissa is a graduate of the University of Idaho, has her MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Portland, and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is a member of both the Oregon and Idaho Society of CPAs and has passed the FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licensing exams.
Outside of work Melissa is married to her husband, Joe, and has one son, Mack. She enjoys spending her free time with family, traveling, attending concerts, and volunteering for various non-profits focused on youth activities.
Melissa is based out of the Boise, Idaho office.
